About the National Forum
The National Forum, the creator of POL, was formed to promote democratic uses of the Internet in Australia. We are the publishers of Australia's influential eJournal of politics and social policy On Line Opinion.

Politicians OnLine was developed because we see an opportunity for politicians to do more with the Internet than they are. When you buy a POL website you buy not just software, but our expertise, as well as a stake in our publishing solutions.
The National Forum publishes a number of websites to bridge the gap between voters and politicians:
- iParliament - a collection of politician's media releases, speeches and policies;
- Ozelections - a comprehensive site of every state and federal election since 2001
- Petitions Queensland - published for the LGAQ
- National Forum Petitions - for use of our members
- On Line Focus - a site for online opinion polling
- What the people want - an online polling collaboration with ABC Radio
- The Domain - an aggregation of Australia's best political blogs
Our aim is to revolutionise political interaction using the Internet. To be successful this revolution must involve everyone. It must harness and focus all the forces of civil and political society across the whole spectrum of views. To that end we have already enlisted as members some significant Australian institutions including the University of Sydney, the Brisbane Institute, QUT, the Local Government Association of Queensland, Australian Manufacturing Workers Union, Australians for a Constitutional Monarchy and Oxfam Community Aid Abroad, as well as prominent individuals and parliamentarians.
