Walter Taylor Ward Councillor Jane Prentice has launched her new POL website.
"Council is about the grassroots. I wanted a website which would be as much a community portal as a campaigning tool," she said.
"My POL site not only hosts my press releases, it provides details of community events, news in my area (like proposed developments) and interactive elements such as online polls.
"Some weeks I will have 600 visits to the site - that’s a lot of electors I couldn't deal with any other way."
Her site takes advantage of many POL features including the community calendar, development applications, petitions, and fix-it form.
